What is a Coillte Outdoors Access Card ?
A Coillte Outdoors Access card is a card that will allow entry though the entry barrier at the following Coillte Forest Parks. Dún a Rí Forest Park – Cavan, Farran Forest Park – Cork, Gougane Barra Forest Park – Cork, Ards Forest Park – Donegal, Donadea Forest Park – Kildare, Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Centre – Limerick, Curragh Chase Forest Park – Limerick. Note – it does not permit entry to the car-park at Lough Key Forest Park
What do I do with my Access Card to gain entry ?
To use your card at any of the parks above, simply present your card to the black card reader which is mounted on a pedestal beside the paystation. The entry barrier will rise automatically allowing entry.
How long does an Access Card work for ?
The Coillte Access Card will allow entry for 12 months from the date purchased. E.G. A card purchased on April 15th 2016 will continue to allow entry until April 14th 2017.
What happens if I lose my Access Card ?
If you lose your Access Card you can purchase a replacement for a reduced rate on the website. Please see the Replacement Card Option under Products.
Who can I contact if my card fails to work at a barrier ?
If your card should not work at any barrier, it may have expired or it may be damaged. To renew your card, please see Renew Card Option to renew your card for another 12 months. To replace your card please see Replace Card Option to get a replacement card. If your card is valid but does not work at a barrier, please email your name and card number to accesscard@coillte.ie and your query will receive a prompt reply.
Why does my card not work to allow another car through after I have gained entry ?
If you have used your card at a barrier and attempt to swipe in a second car, the barrier will not lift. All cards have been fitted with an anti-passback feature to prevent multiple entries using one access card.
Where do I find the number of my existing card?
The card number is located on the back of a valid card beside the ID No label. Please note that cards with a 2010 date or prior are not valid cards. Old Card with numbers that are more than 8 digits are not valid.
Do I get a new card when I do a card renewal?
No you do not receive a new card. You can continue to use your existing card for another 12 months from the date of renewal.
